Argyle Happy Birthday!

OK back with some more Argyle!  LOVING this set!  I used Dot Spot too and a sentiment from Fly Away!

A pretty cool tip here....if you have the blue Jumbo Marvy, you can fit 4 Happy Birthdays from the Fly Away set perfectly in a circle.  I just punched out the circle, put the circle down first, then the block and then arranged the stamp to fit on a quarter of the circle.  Then stamped it 4 times!  Worked PERFECT!

This is all Spring Moss too!  Love LOVE this color!  I am really going to work on using more than one color in a card!  I seem to think monochromatically!  Maybe the next card I make will have 3 colors in it!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

You're Dandy!

I loved this set from the minute I saw Dana's cards!  AND also because my friend Amy LOVES dandelions and we have talked about them ALOT lately!  :)  She rubbed off on me I guess!  So, we all went in on an order and I got them in the mail on Saturday!  (We told Jen she needed a set too! We all really enable each other don't we?)

This set is SO a keeper!  Thanks Dana and Amy and Jen!  :)

April PTI Blog Hop!

Welcome to the April PTI Blog Hop!  Here is this months challenge....

"This month let's focus on tissue paper! It has become one of the hottest trends in the paper crafting
world and we want to see you take it on! Whether it is die-cutting it to make beautiful layered blooms,
the faux silk technique, creating layered backgrounds or even delicate stitched pleated borders, we want
to see you get creative! And don't forget, your new stamps arrive lovingly wrapped in tissue paper each
month, so these can prove to be "free & green" projects as well! Have fun and we look forward to
seeing all of your projects!"

So, I tried to be creative but really I'm having Stampers block today.  I have a couple for you though!  The first is my "tissue" ruffle!  It is about 10 layers of tissue, cut with the scalloped die.  I sewed them on the back of the Melon Berry and the "ruffled" them up!  It looks kinda messy in the pic, but it is way cuter IRL!

Here is a card I made back in March!  I thought I would share it again because I just love that tissue flower!  Those dies are just so much fun to have around!!  :)

Thanks for hopping by today!  Hope its a great Sunday!

Material Girl

Ok so blogger's post scheduling button doesn't like me....this is supposed to be tomorrow's post but I am guessing Blogger wanted it to be today's post as well!  So instead of undoing it....here is todays second post.....  :)

Well...not really!  This isn't about Madonna!  It's about some super cute material I found on clearance at our LSS!  Sadly, they are going out of business but I was lucky enough to snag these Rusty Pickle fabric strips!  I saw some way cute fabric flowers the other day and just had to make one of my own!!  You can purchase pre-made ones HERE!  Super cute!

So here is a couple of cards....and some fabric!  Scroll down to see some FAB woodgrain on the second card!!

I love this next one!  It says "DAD" all over it!  (I know mine doesn't read my blog, so I am safe to give this one to him in a couple of months!)

This new woodgrain is insane!  How ridiculously clever is this?  3 stamps.....TONS of options!  So smart!!

I am fighting the urge to "woodgrain" everything....that is how much I love it!  I find myself starring at my doors, my fancy retro paneling in the basement, there is just woodgrain everywhere!  Whoda thunk? If you don't have this set....YOU NEED IT!  Really you do.  :)

Hope you have a great weekend!

PTI Anniversary Set

So, I got my stuff today...it's still Thursday while I am typing this!  SO super excited!  I love every set so much I had no idea which one to pull out first!  So I put them all together and this is the one I started with!  This anniversary set has SO many possibilites and really so do the rest....like Argyle?  Wow!  That should be a staple in every stamp room!  So here is a quick one for today with the new anniversary set....

I used the circle with the flourishes for my main image.  I just masked off the circle and stamped the flourishes inside the circle!  It helped anchor the sentiment!

The colors look weird for some reason in the picture, dark in some places and not in others, but that's some yummy Raspberry Fizz!   And boy do I love that Smokey Shadow!  That was a new one in my order today too!

Hope you like my card today!  Make it a good one!

A thank you..and a happy for you!

I just have to first say Thank you so much to all the sweetest blog friends ever!  I LOVE the emails that I get and appreciate each one of them!  The comments are just as fantastic!  It makes me so happy that some have found my blog as a source of inspiration!  I get that inspiration from all of you really!  So thanks again!  Just wanted to give that shout out!

So on to the card!  My friend Amy and I have really been discussing this whole Argyle thing lately!  I did order the new stamp set but haven't invested just yet in the impression plate!  SO, we found this cute little folder at Hobby Lobby and with that fantastic 40% off coupon, it was only just a couple dollars!  Here is that plate in action....

On this card I added some distressing with the PTI tea dye...but just a little cuz I am still not totally a distresser just yet!  Also, some black felt complete with stitching, a flower and that cute Fillable Frames #1!

I already had the sentiment stamped so I just masked off for the frame!  Turned out kinda cute I think!  Again, thanks so much for visiting!  Have a great day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Vintage Basket Sentiments, Fillable Frames, Text Style II...all PTI
Paper: Lemon Tart CS, Kraft CS, White CS...all PTI again
Ink: True Black Palette...LOVE this stuff!

You are a Peach!

Just in with a quick one....

Hope its a good one!  Thanks for stopping!

Absolutley Fabulous

Really that is how I feel about PTI!  The stamps, paper, ribbon, buttons....all Fabulous!  So I am stopping in today with a couple new ones using ALL fabulous products!

I found that yummy felt flower at CKC this year!  Sure wish I had more!

This next one is for Diane J!  I made this card HERE the other day and this is what she said.....

"Your cards are totally AWESOME, perfect CAS cards. I LOVE those note cards, they sure were a find! I'm trying to figure out exactly how I can recreate that look ;)"

Well first of all, Diane, thank you for those SWEET words!  I know this is not exactly like the other cards but kinda the same idea.  I know what you really want is an impression plate to make it super easy, but I did this with my Scor-Pal and Scor-bug in about 2 minutes and I think it's kinda cool!

This is a 4" square card.  I just scored on the 1/2" and the 1" on all 4 sides.  Then ran the Scor-Bug on the top and bottom for some more detail.  That left a 2" square window in the middle!  Super easy!  Of course to make it more like the set of cards in the previous post, you could really score alot more to make more detail.

And I can't forget to mention those fantastic flower dies again!  You can't see it well, but I pressed on the back of each petal to round them out giving them more dimension!

Thanks for stopping today!  Hope your week is a great one!
PS....Happy Birthday to my Dad!  Even though I am sure he doesn't read my blog!  Mom, you can pass it on to him!  (Really, I can tell him when I call him later too! LOL!)

New Lawn Fawn!

So here I am casing another card today!  I saw this one by Lea L. and fell in love with it!  The fun thing about it was that my new Lawn Fawn stamps were already on their way to my house when I saw Lea's card!  :)  I just love this set!  ALOT!

I love to sew and knew this one was a must have!  And I love buttons....well, of course!

Thanks Lea for the great card idea!  And thank you for stopping by!

Birthday Girl!

Hi all!  Hope you are having a great day!  Just in with a quick one I came up with while I was staring at the ceiling last night!  I always build my cards in my head first!  It saves so much time and then I can sit down during "nap time" and create a bunch of cards!  BOY do I love nap time!  ;)

Lovin' this Butterfly set....

Thanks for looking today!  Make it a good one!

Clean and Simple Card Set

A while back I was in KC with friends and we stopped at Archivers.  They had tons of card and envelope sets on clearance so I bought them with good intentions of making something right away!  Well, that has been months ago, so I felt it was time to bring them out!

This is a great set of 10 DCWV cards and matching envelopes!  Luckily for me, the envies match PTI's Spring Rain perfectly!  I thought I would keep in nice and simple and add the butterflies and then a sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages...a must have set for those of you who don't have it!  ;)

So here are a few pics for you to check them out....

I do realize I could have taken a picture of one of the other 10 cards here but hey....I must have only wanted  you to see these 2!  :)

And a sneak peak of the "You're too Kind" card....

So, that's all for today! Hope you like my CAS set!  Have a great day!
