Can't....stop....

Ummmmm....I can't! I love these Waltzingmouse stamps! This Teeny Tree set is so much fun! I am not going to overwhelm you by posting all the cards I have made! But here is one more....for now! :)

IMG_7394

This card is gi-norm-ous! It is 9 1/4" x 4 1/8".

IMG_7396

This is super CAS! No ribbon...OH MY! No pearls...holy cow! Just stamp, ink and card stock! Oh and foam tape!  Every stamp and element on this card is from this one set!  Love it!

IMG_7398

Hope you are having a great week!  Yes Jen...it's Thursday!!  See you soon!  Maybe...just maybe with some more Teeny Trees!  hehe!

EDIT: I have had some emails regarding my purchase from WMS and how it worked for me because it was overseas!  First offf, Claire is super helpful if you have any questions!  Next, was how fast did I get it: I ordered on on 9/21 and got it on 9/28!  I think that was really fast!!  Another question was about currency exchange...just click on their site and it tells you!  I think one size is about $22 dollars and some change!  To get free shipping you have to have around $77 or so (I think that is right!)  So I hope that helps! Thanks for all your comments and emails!

First Waltzingmouse Order...

and definitely not the last!  OMG, I just LOVE these stamps!  I got Teeny Trees and Vintages Labels 4!  The sets are HUGE!  I can't even get over how many images are in one set!  Yes, I am totally in love! AND Claire, the owner of Waltzingmouse is so friendly and helpful!  She helped me out big time when I ordered the wrong thing!  It was amazing to get a personal email from her and I knew I would get the sets I actually wanted!

So, anyway, here is my first Teeny Tree card!  Sorry Amy!  I know I wasn't supposed to ink these up until you get here!  But 2 weeks is a LONG time!  Doesn't mean I don't love you!  Just means there was really NO way to wait it out!  hehe!   (Amy and I ordered together and she asked told me that I had to wait until she gets here for our Stamp Away weekend so we could open them together!  No can do Chickie!)

IMG_7387

On the same day that I got my WM order, I also got my PTI September release order!  Talk about a happy mail day!!  I got to use the new Frame set and the new IP!  Love those!!

I also love the bent corner of my card that I am just now seeing in my pic!  Cute huh?  ;)

Glad you could come by today!  Thanks for looking!  Have a great rest of the week!

A Cherry on Top Award!

OH my goodness, my new blog friend Sue has passed on this award to me!  What a fun little surprise!  She is super talented and I just love looking at all of her gorgeous creations!
We both have little Rylee's too!  So fun!
Thank you Sue!

So now I am supposed to share something I like about myself..hmmmm?  Well, I love that I have such a great family!  I have the best husband, Lynn and 2 fantastic kiddos!  I am so lucky be able to stay home with them and have them with me every day!

Now I have to share a photo....

This is a fun one of my kids at Tanganyika Wildlife Area!  They loved it! And I loved the photo opps!  :)

Next, I have to pass this on to 5 bloggers!  This is a hard one for me because
I have SO many I go to everyday!!

1. Jen -She got me into stamping so many years ago and has become a great friend!  We are lucky
enough to live 5 minutes from each other and she totally understands this crazy hobby!
2. Amy -Another fantastic blogger and friend!  We are both nurses and paper-crafters and it
is nice to have those things in common!  We can talk "shop" and understand each other! :)
3. Barb -A wonderful friend, who is ridiculously talented and can tango with a Copic marker
which always makes my jaw drop!
4. Dana-This gal is super sweet and talented!  She always has amazing words of encouragement and always
blows me away with her attention to detail!  She is always such a source of inspiration!
5. Sue Ann-Just one of the most fun blog friends/commenter's/creative people!  I have had so much fun
getting to know her through blog land!  She makes me laugh everyday and
I love having her out there...in my computer, right Sue Ann?
And I know I was only supposed to do 5 but I had to pass this on to Keva too!  She is just so sweet and very creative!  She is good at enabling me I think! hehe! ;)

I could really pass this on to all 200+ blogs in my reader!  I have everyone in there for a reason....there are so many inspiring blogs out there!

So thanks again to Sue!  I appreciate you thinking of me!  Hope everyone has a great day!

Fabulous Blogger Star Award

Regan over at Papercraft Star, was so sweet to pass on this award to me!  Thank you Regan!!

Next I have to answer 2 questions:

The best project I ever made was....my dd's scrapbook!  I should say scrapbook'S because she does have a few at this point!  I started scrapbooking in 1998 and have loved it ever since!  I love being able to look back on those memories that would be forgotten otherwise!  Kids grow up way to fast and having these memories glued to a page is just the best way to keep them!

I like to craft because...hmmmm...this is a hard one to put in to words!  Well...I just love to!  :)  I think as papercrafters we pour our heart into each creation and it is so nice to pass those things on to people when they need encouragement!  It is also a huge stress reliever for me!

Now to share this with 3 Fabulous Bloggers:

Once you have picked up your award, please post it on your own blog and answer these two questions:

The best project I ever made was...

I like to craft because...

Then, select 3 people to award the blog award to, posts their names and blog addresses and go leave a comment at the blogs for the award winner to pick up the star from their blog, who will then do the same thing.

This is a wonderful way to recognize the amazing crafters out there and spread a little crafting encouragement and inspiration.

Thank you again to Regan!  Have a great day!

Fabulous Fall

I am seeing some super cute things with the new PTI Framed set!  Mine is still on its way!  SO, I thought I would just make my own while waiting for the real one!  :)

Using Microsoft Word, I clicked on "insert text box" and formatted my very own "frame"!  I took a piece of Stampers Select, loaded it in my printer and hit print!  I love that if I wanted to keep that little blank space for the sentiment, I could have but for this card I just made a solid frame!  And if I wanted to I could have added a sentiment but instead I decided to use a Signature Greeting sentiment!   Doing it this way too, the possiblities are endless as far as frame size and decoration!  I might have to try this again!

So here is my homemade *frame*...

IMG_7375

After looking at the card, I am wondering if this was too much white space!  You know after you stare at something long enough it looks funny to you?  So let me know what you think!

IMG_7380

So that is all today!  Hope you have a great day!!

OH and what do you think about my new blog header?  I thought it was time for a blog makeover!  :)

9/27/10

Enjoy!

So my mojo has taken another vaca! I have sat down several times over the last few days and I just stare...seems like I am doing that more lately! Burn out? I sure hope not! BUT, I did come up with this the s'morning! Nice and clean and simple! Maybe I should stick to CAS until my mojo shows up!

IMG_7368

I pulled out this embossing folder that I haven't used in FOREV-A! So glad I did!

IMG_7366

Seriously, after I finally had it planned out in my head (I *see* all my cards in my head before I make them!) this card took 5 seconds! Well....maybe a couple minutes! hehe!

IMG_7374

Thanks for coming by today! I was super bummed to not play along with the PTI hop! Other than having no mojo, I really have had NO time! I am working on several events for church and school and keeping up with kids too! I know I am way behind on my blog commenting too!  Oh and we made a new rule...NO computer on Sundays! I came up with the rule so I figured I better abide by it! (We will see how long that lasts!)

Better get going...my 2 year old just handed me my entire role of Scotch foam tape in a large, unrolled mess...omg. bye.

Supplies
Stamps: PTI Mega Mixed Messages

Be Still..

I am back today with another fantastic Verve Plain Jane! I love these little $3 stamps! They make the best focal point and really I find myself building the whole card around the sentiment!

IMG_7331

Another crazy thing about this card is I only used ONE stamp and that was the sentiment! The patterned paper is minds eye and I think works as another great addition to the focal point! Just to add a little "sturdiness" I took a piece of cardstock and taped it to the back of the paper so it wouldn't feel so flimsy when I put it up on foam tape!

IMG_7333

I want to use Dark Chocolate Swiss Dot Satin ribbon on EVERY card I make. I really do. So in trying to break the habit, I simply used a smaller piece this time. This is my way of weaning myself off it! hehe!

Thanks for looking today! Hope you like it!

Oh and one quick little note!  SUPER excited to see THIS today!  Thank you to Ashley and Embellish Magazine!  And  to Lisa at Inchie Arts!   What a great surprise today in my google reader!  I am just beyond excited!  :)

Wee Memories Challenge # 23

So today I am playing along with Wee Memories again!  Here is their challenge:

"This week your challenge is to incorporate any 2 of the 3 designs, Scallops, Orange or String."

I have a  CAS card here that I made recently but never posted!  It fits perfectly into the criteria!  I have 2 of the 3 using "orange" and "string"!

IMG_7207

I have seen this technique used for making sun rays in several places and had to give it a try too!  I used Divine Twine that I got HERE!  It's fun stuff for sure!  She has lots of fun colors to pick from!

I also used an orange chalk from Pebbles to give some depth to the sun!

Hope all is well with you! Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great Wednesday!

Paper Dolls Challenge #22

I just love Amy's challenge this week for the Paper Dolls! Here is what she is looking for:

The Challenge:
1. CAS
2. lots of white space
3. and a pop of color

I knew I could handle that! So here is today's challenge card:

IMG_7324

Here is a the crazy thing about the ink on this card! The paper and ribbon are Scarlet Jewel from PTI! I don't have that ink to match so I didn't even think to use this color and originally wanted to use Pure Poppy...my go to color! So I had the card all mapped out and then stamped the image with Pure Poppy! This is what came out! I realized that the last time I stamped this image I had used Palette's Burnt Umber and didn't clean the stamp! (Uggh! I know! I know! I usually clean my stamps!) But playing with that mix some more has given me a perfect Scarlet Jewel match! I just love it!

IMG_7326

So, I hope you like it! This really turned out to be a seriously Silke inspired card, from white on white and the pearls! She knows I have a pearl addiction that all started with her! Thanks Silke! ;)

If you have a chance, we would love to have you play along with the Paper Dolls! There are at least 3 challenges still open, so find one you like and jump in!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great week!

So here is my take on this sketch with an amazing color combo....

Birthday Wishes

Quite awhile back I went shopping with friends and found those fantastically antiqued music books with the beautiful pages of music...you know the ones we all want for the fun punched out flowers? Yeah well, I keep forgetting I have it stashed away. Maybe this goes hand in hand with the hoarding problem I confessed to yesterday. No. This time I just forgot I had it.

So I am pulling it out today for more than just a flower....

IMG_7298

I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink to give it a little more antiquing.  I also made the little rose and added some distressing to the edges of the petals too!

IMG_7299

I thought I would add a little PTI embossed polka dots for a fun/elegant birthday card.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

EDIT: I have had several emails and comments on how I made this flower.  Dana has a fantastic tutorial HERE!  HTH!

How Sweet of You

I have had a major case of "stampers block" lately! All the cards that I posted in the last week or so were completed (for the most part) a couple weeks ago!  I actually haven't sat down to stamp now for quite awhile! When I do sit down, I just stare at my table! Does this happen to you? So I started this card last week. And I finished it today! Yeah! Finally!

I have to tell you before you see it, I got the inspiration for this card from the pillows (please don't laugh at me!) on the couches they use, on the show "Bachelor Pad". This basically means I am admitting to watch this show. Yes it is a waste of time. And yes I do love it. There. Said it. Here is my card.

IMG_7273

I am in love with this Dear Lizzy rose ribbon.  So much in fact that I hoard it.  Yes, I also have a shelf of candles that have never been lit either.  I am trying to get better about hoarding.

IMG_7276

Thanks for letting me tell you my little secrets.  I am working through it really.  I am already feeling so much better!  :)

Supplies for Amy again.... :)

Stamps: Verve Happy Hello, PTI Background Basics Retro
Paper: PTI Ocean Tides, Dark Chocolate, Rustic Cream
Ink: Versamagic Java Jumbo
Misc: Dear Lizzy rose ribbon, Pearls, Mat Stack Die

Wee Memories Challenge #21

EDIT: This card was picked in the Wee Memories Fab Four!  Thank you girls!

So today I have a card for a new challenge I thought looked really fun!  Jenny over at Wee Memories is hosting this challenge....

"This week your challenge is to incorporate "Wee Ones" into your project i.e. Babies and Children."

I thought that would be fun so I printed and colored up this digi stamp from Heather Ellis

  IMG_7204

This has to be the first time ever I have  made a card with no sentiment!  I am thinking now I need to go back in and add one!  But I really do like this stamp!  Heather does such a great job with these little ones!  :)

Ink: Tuxedo Memento, Landscape Palette

Happy Fall!

I am loving all of the fall colors I am seeing lately!  I sure wish the weather here in Kansas would just stick to the Fall temps!  Time for some cool weather!  Fall is my FAVORITE time of year!  I am totally a sweatshirt and jeans type girl!  So with that I have to share a card today and a super fun gift from my BFF!

First, I will tell you about my card!  This is a new Hero Arts stamp I saw and just had to have!  I am not usually a "techniquey" sort of girl but I do love these stamps with my Kaleidoscope ink pads!  I just inked up my brayer (which was really dusty from lack of use!) and slapped some ink and there I had a nice focal point!

IMG_7236

I knew it needed some sort of fall-ish fibers so I found this trim and added a little ribbon ruffle!  The sentiment is from CTMH.  I think it turned out kinda fun!

IMG_7237

So really you are probably wondering what my card is hanging from!  Well, my friend Laura gave me this fantastic recipe complete with this adorable recipe card holder she made!

IMG_7240

Here it is so you can see!  A potato masher she found at an antique store and then she hot glued a little clippy on the handle!  I LOVE IT!!  It will look so cute in my kitchen!  (Or in my craft room so I can take some card pics!) LOL!

IMG_7241

That is all I have for you today!  Hope it's a great day!

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts (Can't find the name!), Sentiment-CTMH Many Thanks
Paper: PTI Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Stampers Select
